Assistant Head Housekeeper

Edgewater, Wanaka’s highly regarded 104 room resort hotel is seeking an Assistant Head Housekeeper.  This is a full time role and will include weekday and weekend work.  The position involves covering for the Executive Housekeeper on days off and during periods of leave, with other shifts being in a hands on supervisory role.

Responsibilities will include staff training and supervision, divisional efficiency and quality control.  The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role, possess leadership qualities, a positive attitude along with a sense of humour.

Food and Beverage Manager

Edgewater is seeking a food and beverage professional to lead this area of the hotel’s operations.  Edgewater is a four star hotel consisting of 104 guest rooms, two wedding and events venues and two restaurants.  This is a senior management position reporting directly to the General Manager.  
Responsibilities will include;

  • Ensuring our customers’ expectations are exceeded by delivering consistently high standards of products and services

  • Planning, budgeting and profitability management of the food and beverage operations

  • Staff recruitment, rosters and training

  • Evaluation of products, ordering and liaison with suppliers

  • To develop and implement solutions and enhancements to service problems and systems

  • To develop promotional activities and programs for the Food and Beverage outlets in order to ensure revenue targets are met.

The successful applicant will be required to lead by example, which will mean being hands on in the restaurant, bar or at a wedding as needed.  You will also need to have a current Manager’s Certificate, flexibility to work both night and day shifts and have full working rights in New Zealand.

Senior Porter

Edgewater is looking for Senior Porter with at least one years experience in a 4 star hotel.  The applicant must be reliable, a people-person, hardworking, have a pride in their work and must have a full drivers licence. This position requires the Porter to be available to do any of the three shifts.
