Wanaka New Zealand
The small boutique township of Wanaka is nestled in the heart of the spectacular Southern Alps and on the edge of New Zealand’s third largest lake, Lake Wanaka.
Located in the region of Central Otago, Wanaka is perfectly situated as you travel through the Haast Pass, to or from the West Coast. Queenstown is only one hour’s drive away (via and Crown Range) or take the slower route through the wine grown region of Cromwell and Gibbston Valley.
As an alpine wonderland, Wanaka’s appeal lies in its slower pace of life allowing you to relax or experience an abundance of the area’s natural outdoor activities.
For further information on the region visit Tourism New Zealand’s website or while in the region you can personally call into the i-SITE Visitors information centre, located in the heart of town on Ardmore Street.
