Bromwich Wedding - February 2013

The day was fantastic, the weather was amazing and never thought I would say it was almost too hot!
We had a fantastic time and really enjoyed the day. 

Thanks for your help with the evening. The table decorations and set-up was amazing and well above expectations, so it really set the scene up for a great experience.

Everything for the evening went really well, the staff were great, the food was great and we really enjoyed ourselves, so thanks again.

Many guests actually said it was the best wedding they had gone to. They said the rooms were lovely, the setting fantastic and the staff amazing. My parents were very impressed by how you and Gaynor ran the show and even though communication was a bit of an issue since they’re French, they loved you to bits.

Nothing bad to say about the staff as they were all amazing, from gorgeous Suzanna at reception who dealt with many of my requests to Hannah, Gaynor, Rick, Waiting staff, cleaning staff, and of course yourself.

The food was really good and everyone loved the roasted kumara, lamb, beef and chocolate mousse was also very popular and talked about.

The room was lovely and stunning and as we said, we are definitely hoping to be back for our first anniversary.

Everyone said how amazing all the wait staff were and I personally liked the guy who was carving the ham, that was awesome. The food was amazing too!

All the staff were perfect, it was like you didn't know they were there but when you needed to find someone you could.

There would be nothing we could fault, and the way everything was packed up so nicely and easily was awesome, the setup was brilliant and thank you so much for being there with me before I walked down the aisle, that was a huge help.

So weird being a Mrs, bet you felt the same way too after your big day. But it’s back to work, back to the gym and back to normal every day life where wedding planning is a thing of the past!

I just wanted to take the time to say we had truly the most fantastic wedding we could have ever planned for. The weather was amazing and Wanaka lived up to its reputation as one of the most romantic places in the world to get married. We loved every minute of it. We have watched our video over about 10 times already, just can’t get enough!

A big part of the success came from having it at the Edgewater Resort and having you on hand. The resort really is blessed to have such a wonderful, caring, down-to-earth person assisting with the functions. It was like organising it with my friend! You were there for me 100% of the time, even in my moments of constant questionning. You are amazing.

As for the Edgewater, there were the big ticket items like the acccommodation (which we could not fault and we will stay with you again), the food (which was delicious, well prepared and on time) and the venue including the grounds and the Pavilion. We loved our location and our room for the reception! It made the day so magical.  Then there are the small things which people don’t think of like the amazing first class customer service that EVERYBODY at Edgewater gave us, from you, to the receptionist, to the Duty Manager even to the cleaners who wished me good luck the day before and congratulations the day after. Edgewater is lucky to have such a fantastic bunch of people working there. Then there is another small thing like the bottles of water you brought me before I went down the aisle! It was exactly what I needed at that exact moment, I was just so thankful to have you there!

Both Kereru and I know that our day would not have been the same if we had not chosen Edgewater as our location for our wedding. We would recommend it without a doubt and could not fault even one thing! It was the best weekend of our lives! Please thank everyone on our behalf including Gaynor (?) who was also so helpful on the day.

I sure am going to miss our emails, I really wish you the best and please feel free to add any of the above (or ask me for) a testimonial, I am your number 1 fan! I do follow Edgewater on Facebook but not sure if you can see me. If not, add me as a friend (Kat Moses) if you like as I added about 180 photos taken at Edgewater just from our family’s cameras. I am happy for you to use any of them, or if you want something in particular, I probably have one! I will also send you some if I can when I get them from Tim.

FYI, if people ask for recommendations on photographers, celebrants, hair/makeup, flowers and helicopters, I used the following and I cannot fault any of them. They were all amazing! Has anyone had a wedding where nothing went wrong??!! I am sooo thankful!

Hayley you were amazing and completely put Ben and I at ease, making us feel like everything was under control and taken care of.  You were so helpful and accommodating to our wishes and everything ran so smoothly, it was perfect.
Thank you for providing our guests with umbrellas when it rained and also chairs to sit on.  Something at the ceremony I wasn't expecting but just showed how you were wanting our day to be just as perfect as us. 

I know how many weddings you must do at Edgewater yet we both felt so special and not like just another couple getting married.  I would like to thank all the staff that helped like Gaynor and Hannah and also the waiting staff and bar staff everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Cannot say enough good things it was just perfect.  I would also like to thank the kitchen the food was delicious, all of my guests were saying how yummy it all was and some even saying the best wedding food they have had.

Edgewater is the most beautiful spot with incredibly well kept grounds, lovely clean accommodation and amazing staff.  There for our wedding, with around 50 others, many have commented on the great attitude of, and service received from Edgewater staff.  I would not hesitate to recommend Edgewater for accommodation or any event.  Very reasonable pricing for such a remarkable vista.

Warwick and I want to thank you and the team at Edgewater for making our wedding such a breeze. It sounds cliché but honestly it could not have been more perfect. We chose to get married at Edgewater because you were such a pleasure to deal with, and your prompt response to our enquiries along with your "happy to help" attitude really put us at ease.

Having never been to Edgewater before and planning a wedding from Sydney, I expected a few hiccups or miscommunications on the day but the staff had everything covered, they knew who we were as soon as we checked in and it really felt like we were staying with family. Even the bar and restaurant staff knew that we were Warwick and Cindy and what room we were in and offered to help out in any way possible.

We felt like royalty! We had dinner at the Wineglass cafe several times during our stay and were impressed with the meals every time, and our friends and family all commented that their meals were beautiful.The staff are just so great, thank you so much for an amazing worry free week.
