A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Wedding & Events Manager to join Edgewater in this senior position.  Edgewater, proudly named ‘Best Hotel’ at the recent Hospitality New Zealand’s Awards for Excellence,  is seeking an experienced, committed & passionate person to lead our Wedding & Events sales & planning team in this permanent role.

The primary purpose of this position is to secure wedding, event & conference business for the hotel & to liaise with clients, suppliers & staff on the planning & delivery of each event, as well as developing our own in-house events. 

We are seeking someone with prior industry experience, outstanding verbal & written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, strong skills in the use of the MS office suite (Outlook, Word & Excel) & a good sense of humour.  There can be some flexibility in working hours by mutual agreement.

ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR (MATERNITY LEAVE POSITION)

We are seeking a suitably experienced person to join our small administration team in this full time role while the incumbent is on twelve months maternity leave.  Key tasks of the position include daily revenue reconciliations & banking, processing weekly payroll, coding & paying creditors, issuing invoices & receipting payments from debtors, bank reconciliation & a variety of other clerical duties.

The successful candidate must have good numeracy skills, be able to prioritise their work in order to meet deadlines, be capable of working with a range of modern computer systems & have a great sense of humour.

duty manager

Edgewater is seeking a hospitality professional for our newly appointed Duty Manager role.

This role will require the successful applicant to be very versatile & have the required skill set to manage our Hotel independently between the Hours of 11pm – 7am.  This is a multifaceted role involving Front desk, administration, bar & restaurant, security & cleaning tasks whilst also having sole responsibility of the Hotel as Manager on duty. 

The idea candidate will have prior experience in front desk & food & beverage operations. Having completed any qualifications in Hospitality Management & a current Manager’s certificate will be advantageous to the applicant.
