Marlborough is home to Sauvignon Blanc, Hawke’s Bay the Chardonnay but undoubtedly Central Otago is home to some of the finest Pinot Noir wines.

Surrounding Wanaka are numerous boutique vineyards and wineries many of which are open for you to have your taste buds tantalised.

DAY ONE – Wanaka

Be fascinated and mesmerised by the optical illusions at Puzzling World. As they say – welcome to their wonderful world of weirdness! A mix of bizarre buildings, rooms of illusion and the world famous Grand Maze are all designed to baffle your brain and challenge your perception of reality.

This afternoon join your hosts from Wanaka Wine Tours for a half day Boutique Wine Tour. Visit four favourite Central Otago vineyards to learn more about the region and its wines. Team up with gourmet food matches.   Tours depart 1.00pm

Stay at Edgewater this evening.

DAY TWO – Wanaka

Tales of location aviation can be found at Warbirds and Wheels featuring a world-class collection of classic cars along with warbird aircraft, visual arts, wearable creations and tales of local aviation and business legend Sir Tim Wallis.

Leisure stroll through Wanaka’s new Lavender Garden (open October to April) featuring 10 acres of beautiful lavender fields and display gardens.

Optional Idea:  “Your Helicopter Awaits”!  Be whisked away from the helipad located at Edgewater with Aspiring Helicopters for a romantic gourmet picnic on a remote mountain top. Celebrate and enjoy.
