Premium rooms have been significantly refurbished over the past two years and modernised, with upgraded interiors, refurbished bathrooms, insulation, double glazing, soundproofing and in-room heat pumps with air conditioning.

How quiet are the Premium Rooms?
Edgewater's premium accommodation, including Hotel Rooms, One-Bedroom Suites and Two-Bedroom Apartments, has been fitted with improved insulation, sound proofing and double-glazed windows.
Some Premium hotel rooms are connected by an interconnecting door have specialised double-door systems with solid-core construction and perimeter seals – very quiet.
Does the Premium Hotel Room have a private balcony or patio?
Yes. Premium Hotel Rooms have either a private ground-floor patio or first-floor balcony.
Can I order dinner or dessert to my room after skiing or exploring Wānaka?
Yes. Room service is available. Please refer to the dinner and Night Owl menus displayed on your in-room television.
Is parking available close to the Premium Hotel Rooms?
Parking is complimentary and unassigned, with spaces positioned around the resort. Some spaces are immediately outside Premium Hotel Rooms, while others are nearby.
Where can we store ski gear, boots and luggage?
At approximately 30 square metres, there is space inside the Premium Hotel Room for luggage, boots and personal belongings.
Most skiing guests keep their skis and snowboards secured to their vehicles using locked ski racks or roof pods. Ski and snowboard boots can be kept in the room or vehicle.
Are there stairs to the Hotel Rooms? Will I need to carry my ski gear?
Premium Hotel Rooms can be located on either the ground floor or first floor. First-floor rooms are accessed by stairs, and unfortunately there is no lift.
Please ask our team if you would like assistance carrying your luggage or ski equipment.
Is there in-room dining for breakfast?
A continental and full cooked buffet breakfast is served in the restaurant from 7 am until 10 am. Brunch and lunch can be ordered and delivered to your room from 9 am.
Can we choose a room with a lake or garden view?
Rooms are assigned by Edgewater's guest services team. Many rooms have lake views, while others have garden views, and all have mountain aspects.
How warm are the Premium Hotel Rooms?
Premium Hotel Rooms have double-glazed windows, improved insulation and an in-room heat pump with air conditioning.

Does the Premium One-Bedroom Suite have lake views from its balcony or patio?
Premium One-Bedroom Suites have either a balcony or patio. Views vary, with some overlooking the lake and others looking across Edgewater's gardens. All have mountain aspects.
Is there a separate lounge where we can unwind after skiing?
Yes. The Premium One-Bedroom Suite has its own separate lounge and dining area where guests can unwind after a day on the mountain.
The Lobby, Wineglass Café and Alcove also provide welcoming shared spaces where guests can relax. Edgewater does not have a dedicated ski lounge.
Does the Premium One-Bedroom Suite include a kitchen or kitchenette?
The Premium One-Bedroom Suite has a full kitchen and is well suited to longer stays.
As part of the refurbishment, the kitchen was upgraded to include a full-sized fridge/freezer, convection oven, cooking utensils, new crockery and cutlery.
Does the Premium One-Bedroom Suite have laundry facilities for washing ski clothing?
Yes. The Premium One-Bedroom Suite includes an in-room combined washing machine and dryer.
Please check the care instructions on your clothing before using the machines. Bulky ski jackets may not be suitable for the in-room washing machine or dryer.
Is there a fireplace in the Premium One Bedroom suite?
No. Premium One-Bedroom Suites do not have individual fireplaces. Each suite has its own in-room heat pump and air-conditioning unit.
Guests can enjoy the cosy fireplace in the Wineglass Café.
Can we book a massage or wellness treatment in our room?
Edgewater does not provide in-room massage treatments.
Wānaka has a variety of massage therapists, day spas and wellness treatments available. Our front desk or concierge team can provide recommendations and assist with making a booking.
Can we comfortably self-cater in a Premium One Bedroom Suite for a week-long ski holiday?
The Premium One-Bedroom Suite has a full kitchen and is well suited to longer stays for a ski holiday.
As part of the refurbishment, the kitchen was upgraded to include a full-sized fridge/freezer, convection oven, cooking utensils, new crockery and cutlery.
Wānaka also has several supermarkets where guests can purchase groceries and ingredients.
Is there secure ski and snowboard storage close to the Premium One Bedroom suites?
Edgewater does not have dedicated secure ski and snowboard storage beside the suites.
Most skiing guests secure their skis and snowboards to their vehicles using locked ski racks or roof pods. Alternatively, equipment can be stored inside the suite where space allows.
Are there supermarkets nearby if we want to stock up for the week?
Yes. New World Wānaka is approximately 2.9 kilometres from Edgewater. It is around five minutes away by car or approximately 25 minutes on foot via the lakefront walkway.

What are the benefits of choosing a Premium One-Bedroom Suite over a Premium Hotel Room?
The Premium One-Bedroom Suite provides considerably more space than a Premium Hotel Room.
It includes a separate bedroom, spacious lounge, dining area and kitchen. The bathroom features a combined washing machine/dryer.
This makes it particularly suitable for couples wanting additional living space, small families and longer stays.
